FC Mobile is EA Sports’ football game built for mobile play. The main loop is not just playing matches; it is building an Ultimate Team over time, using events for players and resources, changing formations, learning match controls, and improving your squad around the modes you actually play.

If you are new, do not rush after the highest OVR card right away. This page explains what the game is about, which modes matter first, how squad progress works, and where to go next on the site.

What you actually do

The core of FC Mobile is building your own team and testing it in different modes. Team quality is not only OVR. Position, height, weak foot, skill moves, body type, pace, defensive behavior, and your own playstyle all change how a card feels in matches.

One common beginner trap is assuming that a higher-rated player is always the better choice. In H2H, a winger needs acceleration and a clear role, a centre back needs to survive through balls and quick turns, and VSA often rewards reliable finishers in the right attacking spots. Build around your main mode instead of forcing every high-OVR card into the lineup.

A better beginner route

Start by filling the whole squad, not by spending everything on one star player. Your striker, midfield, two centre backs, and goalkeeper should all be usable. Fullbacks cannot be too slow, and your midfield needs at least one player who can defend and move the ball.

After that, settle on a formation. 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, and 4-1-2-1-2 can all work, but the right choice depends on how you attack. If you like wide play and crosses, do not pick a narrow setup. If counterattacks keep breaking through your midfield, add a more reliable defensive player before chasing another attacker.

Then use events and the market to fix weak spots. Events are usually good for steady upgrades and resources. The market is better when you know exactly which position needs help. Prices move, so do not buy a card only because it is popular; ask whether it solves the problem that is costing you matches.

What to check in players

  • Correct position matters. Out-of-position cards can make a squad look stronger while playing worse.
  • Weak foot changes finishing and passing angles, especially for strikers and CAMs.
  • Skill moves are useful when you actually use them. Wingers and forwards usually benefit more than defensive players.
  • Body type and feel are not fully shown by stats. Taller defenders can block and bully better; smaller midfielders may turn faster but lose contact duels.
  • Upgrade cards in order. Invest first in players you expect to keep, not temporary filler.

Daily routine

Start with daily tasks and limited-time events, then check free packs, training materials, and exchanges. If you have little time, consistent event progress is usually better than staring at the market for one lucky snipe.

A simple short session can look like this:

  1. Claim free rewards and daily tasks.
  2. Finish the current event’s daily nodes.
  3. Play a few matches in your main mode and note what feels weak.
  4. Check the market only after you know which position needs an upgrade.
